Clubs and Organizations

Clubs I joined: One month has passed already since I have started attending USC. I have been able to make connections with others within my classes and have finally situated myself at USC. It was now time to spread out and take advantage of what was available in USC. One key part of campus life that I wanted to take apart of in USC before even arriving at the campus was clubs. As a result, when I heard about the club fair that was taking place, In search of a club that matched my interest, I scoured the list and aimed for the ones that I wanted to take part in.

However, I came to realization with some clubs I was interested in required the completion of an application and taking part in an interview. There was also a hard cut off of accepting only 2% of applicants or even less. Still, I gave my best shot and although I wasn’t successful, I will look forward applying once more next semester or next year. This would be the case except for one club which I managed to join which was 3D4E, a 3D printing club. As a first timer to the club, I found out about the various projects that I could be apart of and in the end, I decided on being a part of the robotic hand project as I wanted to learn how to CAD my own hand components, program and wire the components together to create a functional robotic hand.
